IF YOU CAN SEE IT, YOU CAN BE IT.

Treating all people with respect with a mindset of diversity and inclusion, has been and will always be, Kristina's way. Her passion for safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement has fueled Kristina to follow her dreams, despite the struggles of working in a "non-traditional" field. With project experience in a wide variety of construction industry segments over the past two decades, she is a subject matter expert in site logistics, project team collaboration, and industry standard software solutions.

Kristina uses her platform to educate and spread awareness about the opportunities available to everyone, especially underrepresented individuals, including women and people of color, in the construction industry.  She holds a BS in Construction Management from Northern Kentucky University, and is honored to be a member of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and Women in Construction Operations (WiOPS).

LEAN CONSTRUCTION

The principles of Lean Construction are paramount to successful project delivery.  Breaking down silos, creating a common nomenclature for the entire team, and fearlessly calling out waste are just some of the ways Kristina continues to apply Lean daily.

MY STORY

"How did you get into construction?" is usually the first question I'm asked when meeting someone new. I can usually tell by their tone if they are genuinely interested or simply dumbfounded. My response? I love construction. I mean, I really LOVE construction. I used to build cities with Legos and Playmobile outside in the backyard while other little girls were playing with Barbies. I begged my dad for my own toolbelt and helped build the shed and re-roof the house while still in middle school. I went to college, nights and weekends, for thirteen years to get my BS in Construction Management while working full-time on jobsites. I've been fired, laid off, and furloughed from some of the largest corporations in the construction industry, but I'm still here, still pushing forward to follow my dreams by helping others see construction as the industry of choice for hardworking people of all kinds.

Being part of a construction project, the satisfaction of problem-solving with an eye to safety, efficiency, and inclusion - It is the ultimate feeling of accomplishment for me. The relationships we build onsite by treating everyone fairly and equally, regardless of who they are or where they come from, because we have each others backs even on the toughest days, last for decades. That's my pixie dust. So let's inspire each other, help some hardworking folks, and make some magic today.
